LOCATION<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Trzebiat\u00f3w is located on the Rega River, about 8 km away from the Baltic Sea, 35 km from Kamie\u0144 Pomorski and 120 km from Szczecin. The Old Town, located in the bend of the river, <\/span>seats<\/span> on a hill surrounded by defensive walls. Palace on the M\u0142yn\u00f3wka and the Chapel of the Holy Spirit are in the old part of the city 15\u00b015’E 54\u00b004’N<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

SCENIC CHARACTER <\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

Over 700 years of the city’s history is visible in every corner of it, reminding <\/span>bystanders<\/span> about important events and related persons. <\/span>When it comes to the <\/span>Griffin Route, the most important place to visit is the Chapel of The Holy Spirit, in which in 1534 a sitting<\/span> of the Pomeranian Parliament was held<\/span>. <\/span>It\u2019s right here where <\/span>the Pomeranian dukes decided to implement the reformation and adopt Lutheranism as a religion prevailing in Pomerania. Pa\u0142ac nad M\u0142yn\u00f3wk\u0105 is a monument of particularly high historical value in Trzebiat\u00f3w. Its origins date back to the 13th-century when a house was built here for Duchess Anastasia, the widow of Bogus\u0142aw I. After her death, the building was rebuilt for the needs of the Norbertine monastery. After the introduction of the Reformation in Pomerania in 1534, the monastery buildings became the property of the Pomeranian dukes and after the death of Bogus\u0142aw XIV (the last prince of the Griffins dynasty) and the Thirty Years’ War the palace passed into the hands of Brandenburg. In the rebuilt palace there are relics of the former Norbertine monastery and the princely residence. Today’s palace is the seat of the Trzebiatowski Centre of Culture and Museum. The institution cherishes the memory of the former inhabitants of this palace – the Duchess of Pomerania Anastasia and the Duchess of the Pomerania Zofia (widow of Philip II).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

ATTRACTIONS <\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Trzebiat\u00f3w is a multicultural city – it is a city of four religions: Evangelical, Catholic, Orthodox and Greek Catholic. Walking through the streets of Trzebiat\u00f3w, it\u2019s <\/span>worth to note a graffito from the <\/span>17th-century depicting the famous Hansken elephant, the same one Rembrandt immortalized in the painting „Adam and Eve”. Due to its layout of streets and preserved monuments, the city has a specific, captivating climate. At the turn of July and August the „Groats Festival” takes place in Trzebiat\u00f3w. A place that is also worth visiting is the Church of Motherhood of the Blessed Virgin Mary, <\/span>which is often visited by <\/span>couples wishing to have children. Through the city runs the European Cultural Route, The <\/span>Road<\/span> of St. James<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
