Greifswald is located in northeastern Germany of the state Mecklenburg-Vorpommern at the south end of the Bay of Greifswald. Greifswald has good railway and motorway connection with Stralsund, Z\u00fcssow, Usedom, Angerm\u00fcnde, Eberswalde, Berlin and Szczecin.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Greifswald holds the title of being a very cultural, charming and romantic city offering to enjoy beautiful hanseatic and brick gothic architecture in the old town and visit the unique cultural objects. The area is very popular for watersports where everyone can participate in sailing, surfing, canoeing activities from the Bay and has variety of trips organised daily. The city has the second oldest university in Europe and is famous for the painter of Romanticism Caspar David Friedrich who shaped the city greatly in a romantic way. Greifswald also holds 800 years old fishing village Wieck at the Ryck river, the oldest fishing villages on the North German Baltic Sea coast, which offers a relaxing time in the marina, enjoy small beach, fantastic promenade time in the harbor pier, or admire the most beautiful sunsets on the Pomeranian coast.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Explore the Old town within Caspar David Friedrich Walk by bike starting from the Centre which holds exhibition about the painter\u2019s life and work, the Market Square, the Pomeranian State Museum, Cathedral and continues to the University, Jakobikirche and ending to the River Ryck and the harbour, the Ruins of Eldena Abbey. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Staying in the village Wieck for lunch in the restaurant, and then get on the board in the sailing training ship \u201cGreif\u201d for 6 hours and see the famous landmark of R\u00fcgen island – great White Cliff of Rugen island, which is best observed through sailing in the afternoon panorama.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
