LOCATION
Hel Peninsula Biking Route starts in Władysławowo at the beginning of peninsula and ends in Hel town – the final sea port on the route. It can be accessed from all surfing spots on the peninsula. They can be reached by local trains which carry bikes and by roads. The bike train starts in Gdynia. The route is in the proximity of Tricity area (Gdańsk-Sopot-Gdynia) in Pomerania region of Poland (30 km from Gdynia). The Gdansk area is accessible by two ferry connections to Sweden: Karlskrona-Gdynia and Nynäshamn – Gdańsk. Gdańsk has got an international airport. Władysławowo (starting point) geographical location is 54°48′N 18°25′E.
BIKING HEL PENINSULA
The biking route in Hel peninsula seems to be one of the most scenic biking routes in Poland. The beginning of the route in Władysławowo is not very special. The route goes parallel to the main peninsula road and in Chałupy the route turns towards fishing port. From this moment the route becomes interesting. The bikers can observe bouncing fish boats, surfing wind and kite surfers and people sitting on the sea coast bank. Then the route goes alongside the quay going close to fish taverns and bars. From Chałupy to Kuźnice the biking route borders with the sea. When the sky is blue the water colour is dark blue and shines in the sun. When approaching to Jastarnia the route goes to the forest upside and down. When bikers reach final Hel town – naval and fishing place, there are many food places where one can eat fish from today’s morning catch.

Hel Peninsula is an interesting summer holidays location and guests come not only from Poland. Rewa is located closely to Tricity. Accessible public transport joins Hel Peninsula and allows tourists to spend one or two days visiting Gdansk, Sopot or Gdynia. The Tricity area offers numerous sightseeing points: Solidarity Museum, WW2 Museum, Marine Museums, historical Old Town district in Gdansk and relaxing resort of Sopot. Hel has got a marine station which deals with breeding Baltic Sea seals. The re-introduction of this rare spice proved to be successful and stations visitors can observe different activities connected with breeding.
