LOCATION

Mörrum river is in Karlshamn in Blekinge, Sweden. 56°9′13″N 14°44′48″E.

SCENIC CHARACTER
The salmon and trout fishing in Mörrum has long been among Sweden’s best-known and most popular. Mörrums river stream and Mörrum salmon fishing are renowned among anglers all over Europe. Those who are interested in nature will find possibilities to fishing, cycling along the old railway embankment, footpath along Salmon route (Laxaleden) a long-distance footpath from the coast and canoeing the area around Mörrum has fantastic natural and cultural values, an interesting history with many fascinating myths and legends.

ATTRACTIONS

Laxaleden is a 30-km long hiking trail following Mörrumsåns rushing through a piece of beautiful Blekinge nature, from farmland to woodland.

It runs between the old town of Elleholm in the south and Hovmansbygd in the north. At Åkeholm it connects to Blekingeleden.

Along the trail there are information boards that tell us about the history and culture that over time shape life along this fishy and powerful watercourse.

In total there are 100 information texts on the trail with varying distances.
