LOCATION
Between Sweden and Denmark lies the island of Ven. Here you can enjoy the fresh air, beautiful greenery and wonderful views. The island is 11.7 km in circumference and is perfect for a day trip. If you wish to stay overnight there are several different options for that. The ferry from Landskrona runs all year and takes only 30 minutes. In summer you can also go from Copenhagen to Denmark and Råå in Helsingborg.
SCENIC CHARACTER
A quiet, nice little paradise, without cars and stress. Surprisingly beautiful scenery with exquisite views of the island’s landscape and the deep blue of Öresund.
The island is one of the most popular tourist destinations in southern Sweden and is especially appreciated for its different nature, imaginative location in the middle of the Sound, and beautiful beaches. It’s great to cycle or stroll around the island and enjoy the stunning views. Especially the views from Backafall are adorable. Another must be the Tycho Brahe memories – one of the best museums in southern Sweden – housed in the former All Saints church and opened in late 2005. Another bending scene to be avoided is to stand on the church back at St. Ibbs church and look out over the Sound to Denmark. Saint Ibbs church is also one of the country’s most popular wedding churches.
