LOCATION
Łeba Town is located 110 km north-west from Gdansk in Pomerania, Poland. Słowiński National Park (Łeba Moving Dunes) is located west to Łeba town, the park headquarters are in Smołdzino Village south-west to Łeba. The main entrance to the park is in Rąbka which is a part of Łeba town. Łeba can be accessed by public transport (rail and buses) and by roads. Regional and distance trains go through Tricity to Lębork and end in Łeba rail station. The Gdansk area is accessible by two ferry connections to Sweden: Karlskrona-Gdynia and Nynäshamn – Gdańsk. Gdańsk has got an international airport. Łeba town geographical location is 54°45′N 17°33′E.
SIGHTSEEING ŁEBA MOVING DUNES IN SŁOWIŃSKI NP
Climbing the dune Łącka Góra 42 m tall, in the National Park is a must. No wooden pavement, you go in the sand. However, the park offers much more attractions and activities. There is one biking route going through the park, 6 hiking trails, two kayak routes. Amateur fishing is allowed in four catching areas both from the coast and from the boat. Besides, boating is allowed only in narrow designated areas of lakes. There are six sightseeing towers, also six sightseeing piers on the lakes. There are two museums which belong to the park: one natural and one ethnographic. The park employees provide field educational services for individual and group tourists for moderate fees. ATTRACTIONS
Słowiński National Park is considered as rich with attractions and a tourist is not forced to leave the place to have the change. South to the Łeba in Smołdzino and villages around are the regional attractions associated to local ethnic group Słowińcy, which remained historical buildings of their typical farming and fishery occupations (Kluki ethnographic museum). In the NP, in place called Rąbka there is a military museum of the launching centre of V1 and V2 missiles from WW2. Nearby Lębork is famous from its historical churches and old town.
