NATURE SIGHTSEEING

The fossil-rich chalk cliffs of Møn Cliff stretch for 8 kilometres along the coast, ranging in height from 102-128 metres and form an impressive steep wall of white. The most fascinating way to view the cliffs is by a sea trip on a fishing boat, which lasts 1.5-2 hours. The cliffs are highly forested and host beautiful park areas (such as Liselund Park). One important attraction is GeoCenter – a geological museum which explains the history of these magnificent cliffs. They are especially beautiful in the bright sunshine of spring and summer and the surrounding area also plays host to numerous rare natural wonders – plants including orchids like the lady orchid and cliff-loving animals including peregrine falcons and the large blue butterfly.
