LOCATION

The Old Town is located in the southern part of the Elbląg city, 3 km from the railway station. The historic part of the city can be reached by public transport. Elbląg is located 60 km from Gdańsk, in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship. It’s best to get there by train from Gdansk, Sopot, Malbork, Olsztyn and other big cities, or by car.54°09′N 19°23′E

ATTRACTIONS 

The reconstruction of the Elbląg Old Town has been underway for over a dozen years. Tenement houses that are created refer to the old style. The area of the Old Town is an eldorado for the researchers of the past. The objects or fragments excavated by archaeologists go to the Elbląg museum, which is worth a visit. Numerous cafes, pubs and pizzerias are waiting for tourists in the Old Town. You can find there many tourist attractions including Gothic buildings: cathedral. St. Nicholas, Art Center – El Gallery, Brama Targowa. Here you can also start your trip with the unique waterway, which is the Elbląg Canal. From Elbląg, you can go on a cruise to Krynica Morska. The Elbląg Old Town is one of the largest in Europe in terms of area covered by comprehensive archaeological research.
