ATTRACTIONS
Earls Tiškevičiai, that ruled Palanga in the 19th century, built this bridge hoping for development of shipping, but the location was bad due to sand constantly casted on the coast. From 1892 the bridge became promenade, especially during the summer time at sunsets. It was renovated and prolonged in the 20th century. A landscape of beaches and sand dunes opens up from it. The bridge can be reached from the city walking on J. Basanavičius avenue. In 1961 another symbol of the city appeared – sculpture “Jūratė ir Kąstytis “.
