LOCATION

The Museum of the Pomeranian Folk Culture is located in Swołowo. This is a village within Słupsk County in the Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland. It lies about 13 kilometres from Słupsk and is communicated with main Polish cities by roads. 54°29′N 16°50′E.

ATTRACTION DESCRIPTION

When you get to a small village called Swołowo, you will have the impression that you have stopped back in time. This one of a kind open-air museum has many historic buildings. You can see how the inhabitants of the Pomerania region once lived. This place is called the capital of “the checked house region” because of many specific buildings from the 18thand the 19thcentury. There are exhibitions (including multimedia exhibitions) on the history of Pomerania in rebuilt buildings. The museum organizes many events for people of all ages and has a rich educational offer especially for children.
