LOCATION
Ny Kirke (Ny Round Church) is located in Nyker town, Bornholm municipality, Capital region, on the west side of Bornholm island. Denmark is well known of its bicycle paths, so is Bornholm. In order to reach Nyker choose the path between Rønne and Helligdommen. If you prefer to take a bus, choose line 2 in Rønne.

ATRACTION DESCRIPTION
There are four famous romanesque style round churches in Bornholm: Nylars Kirke, Ols Kirke, Ny Kirke, Østerlars Kirke. Ny Round Church, originally called simply “All Saints Church”, is the smallest and youngest of all four. It was erected in XII century. It served two purposes: religious and defensive. Like most medieval sacral buildings located in small settlements it was an enclave where all the villagers gathered in case of attack. In the center of the church there is a column covered with frescos. The paintings present scenes from the passion of the Christ.
