LOCATION

Roskilde is the main city in Roskilde municipality, which is located on the Danish island of Zealand. It is well communicated. You can get there by car from any part of Europe. Of course, it is also possible to travel to Zealand by sea. The Denmark is well known of its bike paths. There is a four-platform railway station in Roskilde. The main airport is Copenhagen Airport. Many tourists find Roskilde as a historical city, with an old cathedral, but is it really what it is? On the other hand, Roskilde is a place where Danish most famous rock festival takes place (since 1971). It is one of the largest festivals in Europe. Through nearly 50 years many world class rock stars visited Roskilde, such as: Bob Dylan, Black Sabbath, Guns N’ Roses, Nirvana, Metallica or Red Hot Chili Papers. The Roskilde Festival is not only about music. There are many other attractions like a cinema, sport events, pro ecological NGOs, and many others.
