LOCATION

Mörrum is a beautiful and unique locality (second largest) situated in Karlshamn Municipality in Bleking County in the south part of Sweden. It is located by the River Mörrumsån, known by its richness in salmon and trout.). GPS Mörrum 56°19′N 14°75′E.

SCENIC CHARACTER

River Mörrum is well known to sport fishermen not only in Europe and one of the most famous rivers in Sweden. Salmon fishing is an ancient tradition on the river. It was first described about 8 centuries ago. Sustainable sport fishing is takes place on the river between March and September. River Mörrum is Sweden’s most important spawning area for the Baltic salmon.

ATTRACTIONS

River Mörrum is a part of “Natura 2000” area. To help nature, annually new sea trout are released into the river. It is a location of national interest. Many areas that are adjacent to the river are nature reserves. Anglers find there ideal conditions for fishing, for others there are fantastic wandering routes with one called “Laxaleden” at the head.
