ATRACTION DESCRIPTION
While visiting the garden tourists will be fascinated by the largest and heaviest animals in this area and meet unknown species. They will enjoy an exceptional day in the most beautiful landscape zoo in the region. There are 1855 animals, 156 species and 19 zookeepers. This green oasis can be proud 3 hectares large bird meadows. Lions, fox, mongooses and meerkats live harmonious life there due to sufficient freedom of movement and hiding places. Bears and wolves live in the bear forest. There are Siberian Tigers on the Tiger Hill, 50 bird species find shelter in the waterfowl enclosure. In 2016, the Schwerin Zoo has set a new philosophy, visitors can experience the changes in the nature reserve and see what zoos are doing to preserve biodiversity. Zoo offers a range of recreational facilities e.g. playgrounds, a research camp, a forest school, a petting zoo and a frog house.
