ATTRACTIONS
The Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Koszalin – formerly the parish church in Koszalin. It is the most important and the most valuable monument of Koszalin.
The temple was built in the years 1300-1333 as a three-nave basilica with a powerful tower. Inside there is a Gothic crucifix from the 14th century from the chapel on the Cross, late Gothic statues from 1512 carved in an oak tree, from the former Gothic altar, early Gothic baptismal font, spiders (chandeliers) from 1666 and neo-gothic organ from 1899. The cathedral has four bell casts in Poznań in 1980 and one from the chapel of St. Nicholas made in 1529 by a Stargard manor, Lutke Rose. From 1534 to 1945, an Evangelical temple. From 1972, the cathedral of the new diocese. Recently, the Cathedral has undergone extensive renovation.
