WIND HOTSPOTS AROUND RÜGEN

Wind hotspots are located around the whole island and this allow to utilize all directions of winds and benefit from different conditions. Surfers usually  conduct the game with wind forecasts. Rügen Island hotspots allow for changing place for surfing in around one hour drive. The most of the surfing spots are easy accessible with white beaches (not broad), waters are shallow for the most coastal areas. Many surfers report frequently flat waters. Spring and fall seem to be excellent seasons like summer, but with stronger winds. Many spots are used for learning surfing (e.g. Suhrendorf, Wiek, Thiesow etc.). When the eastern wind gusts the most effective can be Neu Murkan hotspot. Rügen hotspots are mostly used by German and Polish surfers.
