LOCATION

the main Roman Catholic church of Szczecin. Located in the Old Town, on Jakuba 1 street. Second after the Licheń Basilica in terms of height, the church in Poland. The main temple of the Szczecin-Kamien metropolis.

ATTRACTIONS 

the cathedral has the only view point in Szczecin, which is only accessible by elevators, because the staircases inside the tower are not intended for tourists. The church tower is 110m hight, but the viewing point is located at a height of 56m. From the tower, with good visibility, you can admire the panorama at a distance of up to 40km. Inside of the basilica are historical and contemporary works of sacred art and the diocesan museum. The church has a bell called the Great, made in 1682 by the Szczecin-based founder Wawrzyniec Köckeritz, funded among others by the Swedish king Charles XI. On the tower the active clock strikes hours during the day.It is certainly an important point in Szczecin.
