LOCATION

Kąty Rybackie is a village situated on the Vistula Spit on the west coast of the Vistula Lagoon, within the area of Żuławy Wiślane. It is communicated with Gdańsk by roads (a distance of 56 kilometres). Available also from the sea. The village is located in Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland, 54°20′N 19°14′E.

SCENIC CHARACTER

This old fishermen village established in the 13th century on the west coast of the Vistula Lagoon provides beautiful sandy beaches. Kąty Rybackie is the place where you can relax breathing fresh air. You may admire unbelievably beautiful fishermen houses with roofs covered with the reed taken from the Vistula Lagoon’s shore. The biggest European ornithological reserve of black cormorant and grey heron gives the impression of the place untouched by the civilization. The location between Sztutowo and Krynica Morska favours a far better understanding of the charms of preserved nature of the whole Vistula Spit.

ATTRACTIONS

The area is an attractive summer resort. If you don’t want to lie on the beach, you may go to beautiful forests to pick up mushrooms. Some people may want to use the cycling or Nordic walking trails. You may sleep not only in pensions, but also in the fishermen houses that are rented for tourists. You may eat in bars, restaurants and cafes. Vistula Lagoon Museum with old fishing equipments is the attraction for visitors.
