LOCATION
Rostock – Warnemünde is a sea resort situated alongside the mouth of the river Warnow and on the other side alongside the broad belt of the Baltic Sea open sea beaches. It is communicated with center of Rostock with roads and city rail. Available also from the sea, ferries location. The resort is located in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern in Germany, 54°10′N 12°05′E.

SCENIC CHARACTER
Fishermen village situated alongside Warnow River still maintains its charming old shape. The Alter Strom street offers pleasurable walks alongside the river with lovely fishermen houses located in the long row. Many of them are used for art shops and galleries. On the quays of the Warnow River still there are many fishing ships however the tourism fleet is now prevailing. The Alter Strom street is beautiful in the day and in the night. In the night the riverwalk shines with bright lights of old-fashioned lanterns and offers social life opportunities. Numerous restaurants and pubs allow for meeting friends and acquaintances. The present shape of this lovely street comes from the last 200 years. Each house is different however all maintain the uniform character.
ATTRACTIONS
The area is lovely with quaint architecture and lots of bars, cafes, restaurants, shops, and information center. Many of the fishermen houses are rented for tourists, off the season prices are really attractive. Baltic sea food available from several ships. House No 53 hosted Edvard Munch, famous Norwegian painter for more than one year. The area is colorful not only in the summer or spring. Good to visit all year round.
