LOCATION
Bornholm Railroad Museum is located in Nexø town, Bornholm municipality, Capital region. It is on the east coast of the Bornholm. Nexø is the second largest town on the island. Denmark is well known of its bicycle paths, so is Bornholm. You can get to Nexø from any part of the island by bike. ATRACTION DESCRIPTION
Trains were important mode of transportation on Bornholm island from 1900 to 1968. Today railroads were transformed into bicycle paths, and all what is left from De Bornholmske Jernbaner (Bornholm’s train company) is a museum in Nexø. The exhibition reminds an old rail station. You may watch impressive old steam locomotive and different kind of train wagons. The souvenirs are also very creative. You can buy original railroad elements.
