ATTRACTIONS
This ensemble was built in 1610–1617 with funding from Jonas Karolis and Sofija.
Chodkevičius (restored 1971–1978, 1980–1982). This church is one of the oldest remaining churches with Gothic and Renaissance features in Samogitia. It has seven altars created in the 17th-18th centuries and a pulpit decorated with carved wooden sculptures. Members of the Chodkevičius family, the church’s benefactors, are buried under the main altar.
All of the sarcophagi are unique cultural monuments. A significant work of religious art is the painting of St Anthony.
