LOCATION

Žemaitija National Park is in Telšiai County in the north-western part of Lithuania , about 45 km from the Baltic Sea. Coordinator 56 ° 2’40 „N 21 ° 49’10″E.

SCENIC CHARACTER

There are nearly 183 bird species to be spotted in the park, 38 of which are extremely rare. In addition, the Park is home to 10 different species of bat. You can discover the beauty of Plateliai – the largest and deepest lake in the Zemaitija region – famous for its gorgeous natural surroundings and its cultural significance.

The crystal-clear waters sightseeing is sometimes called the “Wet Experience” – a combination of leisure paddling and a gourmet picnic. The Crystal-Clear tour takes you along a well-known path of Plateliai archipelago in its unique, entertaining and memorable way.

ATTRACTIONS
Twenty herds of ostriches are officially registered in Lithuania. At present, the fields are grazed by 586 individual birds. There are also 24 flocks of pheasants in the country (1748 individual birds).
