SCENIC CHARACTER

A nice quiet little paradise, away from traffic and the daily stresses of life. Breathtakingly beautiful scenery with exquisite views of the island’s landscape and the deep blue of Öresund make Ven truly a place to rest the soul.

The island is one of the most popular tourist destinations in southern Sweden and is especially appreciated for its varied scenery, unique location in the middle of the Sound and its beautiful beaches. It is great for cycling or strolling and enjoying the stunning views, especially from Backafall.

Another must-see attraction is the Tycho Brahe memory place – one of the best museums in southern Sweden. It opened in late 2005 and is housed in the former All Saints church. Another interesting place is the St. Ibbs church. When standing on the church back one can look out over the Sound to Denmark. Saint Ibbs church is also one of the country’s most popular churches to get married in.
