LOCATION

Stenshuvud National Park is just south of Kivik and about 15 km north of Simrishamn. There are signs directing you to the main entrance, where you will find the Naturum visitor centre, from road 9, and to the north entrance from Kivik.

SCENIC CHARACTER

Weasels, yellow-necked mice and squirrels are relatively common sights here and if you are lucky, you might even catch sight of roe deer, spot some badgers, foxes or martens. Stenshuvud National Park is a beautiful and amazing place, where nature abounds and relaxation is a given.

ATTRACTIONS

Sweden’s southernmost national park offers lovely hiking areas, a 97-metre-high sea view, beaches and apple farms. In „Naturum” there is an exhibition describing the park’s plants and animals. One of many animal species in the park are hazel dormice and European tree frogs.

The beach’s sand here is outstandingly fine. Stenshuvud is one of the most beautiful and varied national parks in Sweden. There are ancient monuments, scenic coastways and rich animal and plant life here, you can also enjoy the magnificent view from the 97-metre-high Stenshuvud mount. On a sunny day, the park is the perfect place for a picnic or a relaxing walk along one of its hiking trails.
