The Folklorefestival in Hansestadt Wismar is an annual event that takes place in July and combines folk dancing, music and song.
There are dancers and musicians from international folklore ensembles of the CIOFF sections in America, Africa, Europe and Asia and active members from dance, costume and music groups, orchestras, music clubs, fanfares and brass bands from the federal states of Germany await your visit with their programmes for the preservation of folklore traditions in dance, music, song and sport.
