LOCATION
Gdańsk is the biggest Polish city on the Baltic coast with more than a thousand years of history and maritime tradition. It is the capital of Pomorskie Voivodeship and the capital of the Kaszubia region. Gdańsk, together with Gdynia and Sopot, forms a metropolitan area called Tricity. It is located on the southern edge of Gdańsk Bay and by the mouth of the Vistula river.

Here, there are many shopping malls and markets where tourists can buy local products that make Gdańsk famous all over the world (eg. amber).
Gdańsk is the capital of Pomorskie Voivodeship – a paradise for anglers because of its water bodies and variety of fish species which are not to be found in other parts of Poland (eg. roach, grass carp, carp, rudd, bream, crucial carp, silver bream, bleak, pike, catfish, perch, pikeperch etc.). The waters at the mouth of the Vistula in particular are full of trout and salmon. Different ways of fishing are possible: fishing form the bank, sea boat fishing, trawling, sea-spin angling and surf fishing. Deep sea salmon, herring and cod fishing trips are organized in Gdańsk.
