ATTRACTIONS

The Samogitian Shrovetide is unimaginable without dressers who often dressed with wooden masks. All the masks are horrific: big nose, blasted eyes, no teeth, overgrown warts. Masks are decorated with crowns of high-colored paper. The masks have been collected for about 20 years from Samogitia region and have accumulated over 300 pieces. In the exposition you can find interesting stories about the traditions of the Shrovetide festival held in Lithuanian country and even to participate if visitor comes on February-March.
