LOCATION
Usedom is Germany’s second largest island; its landscape is hilly and spacious, features lovely beaches, grasslands and woods as well as rivers and lakes. It boasts 42 kilometres of continuous fine white sandy beach. With over 2,000 hours of sunshine per year Usedom is the sunniest area of Germany. Five historic piers enable visitors a stroll high above the sea. The largest coherent ensemble of mansions and villas built in Resort Architecture style lines the longest beach promenade of Europe. Three nature parks allow visitors to get into close touch with flora and fauna: the Nature Park Island of Usedom, the Nature Park at the Szczecin Lagoon and the Nature Park Riverscape Peene Valley. Usedom totals 200 kilometres of cycle trails and 400 kilometres of hiking paths. Visitor to Usedom not only have the Baltic Sea on hand; additionally they have the Achterwasser Lagoon, the River Peene and numerous inland lakes at their disposal; a paradise for yachtsmen, wind and kite surfers as well as canoeists

SCENIC CHARACTER
In the far northeaster part of Germany lies the island of Usedom, Germany’s second largest island, and one of the worldwide few islands to be divided by two different countries.
It´s marvelling how the changing landscape and how it changed from rolling hills to flat plains.
ATTRACTIONS
Usedom is an island a little further along the Baltic coast, and is shared by Germany and Poland. There are many small bays along the entire coast with some amazing beaches throughout.
The island is known as “Berlin’s bathtub” because of the thermal spas that dot the area. The Kaiserbäder (Emperor’s spas) Heringsdorf, Ahlbeck and Bansin were all frequently visited by Wilhelm II, hence the name “Emperor’s spas”.
These are all amazing to soak in and let all your cares drift away.
