LOCATION

The exposition of the Samogitian village of Samogitian Museum “Alka” was established in Telsiai, on the southwestern shore of Lake Mastis.

ATTRACTIONS 

The main task of this exposition is to depict folk life in a natural environment, to preserve authentic folk architecture monuments as a source of science and an ethnic heritage. Samogitian village exposition is located in an area of 8.5 ha, which has 16 authentic buildings that would be divided into three homesteads and the public sector. Large-scale farmstead has a residential house, a barn, a barn, a barn, a pig farm, a gazebo and a sauna. Authentic buildings come from different parts of Samogitia. All buildings have expositions, authentic furniture, work tools, household utensils, interiors decorated with crosses and paintings. Various events are organized in the exposition: folklore festivals, theatrical theaters, and museum organizers conduct educational events. In the middle class peasant homestead there is an education class that teaches weaving, toys, wool, embroidery. Žemaitukai breed horses, rabbits are grown in the exposition of Žemaitija village. Anyone who wants can ride a horse-drawn carriage.
