ATTRACTIONS

Wały Chrobrego were designed by Wilhelm Meyer-Schwartau in the early twentieth century and were called the Haken terraces (from the name of the mayor, who was the originator of this concept). The first construction project of the Wały was created in 1876, while the second one – in 1884. The entirety consists of a walking promenade planted with trees and completed on both sides with semi-circular observation yards and a centrally located observation deck. At the bottom of Waly there is a fountain decorated with figures of Jan of Kolno and Wyszak and two high columns stylized to lighthouses.

Until today it is a place where the largest city events are held.
