Bromölla is a locality situated by the east coast of Lake Ivösjön, located in the northeastern part ofSkåneCounty. It is a seat of the municipality of Bromölla and covers the area of 5,56 km2(a size of the whole municipality is 165 km2). 56°07′N 14°48′E

SCENIC CHARACTER
The name of the town comes from the water mill (no longer existing) on the Skräbeån River. Name Bromölla means a mill by the bridge. The stone bridge in Bromölla has survived till today. In XIX th century, after opening the railway station in Bromölla, the ceramic industry has developed there. The most inhabited places in the municipality are Bromölla, Gualöv, Näsum, Valje, Nymölla and Edenryd. The landscape of Bromölla is breathtaking and varied. Visitors can start visiting from open views to beech forests, mysterious waters of the Lake Ivösjön, sandy beaches along the Baltic coast and majestic waters of the Baltic Sea.
ATTRACTIONS
The ideal places to relax are: Korsholmens beach, Orudden beach, Klackabackens beach, Tomsabo beach. In Bromölla Cable Park tourists can do surfing, kitesurfng, windsurfing, paddleboarding and other water activities. There is also the world’s smallest art gallery in Bromölla. Visitors can go hikinh using one of the numerous hiking trails as picturesque Edenryds Hiking Trail, magic Lilla Kungsleden Hiking Trail, mysterious Nasumaviksleden Hiking Trail, go biking in Banvallsleden bicycle trail or in Smugglarrundan Bicycle Trail. When the weather is not good for nature exploration there is a very interesting history museum named Havsdrakarnas Hus. Discovering the Bromöllatown, a sculpture of two plesiosaurs can’t be missed. Scanisaurus, a big fountain is located on the market place. It is the largest ceramic sculpture in the world and consists of 3000 different hand-crafted and colored ceramic plates.
