ATRACTION DESCRIPTION

The lighthouse in Niechorze, located on a cliff shore, is a favorite destination for tourists visiting the Rewal commune. Built in 1866, it measures 45 m in height. It is the second largest lighthouse on the Baltic Sea. The building was made of brick. The lighthouse tower has a characteristic shape. Initially, the cross-section is quadratic to go later in the octagon. During World War II, it was partially destroyed, and after the war it was rebuilt. The cliff edge was protected against being washed with concrete bands. It is open to the public, and from its peak you can enjoy a beautiful view of the sea and the surrounding area, but to be able to admire these views you have to climb 210 stairs.
