PREILA BEACH SURFING HOTSPOTS

Preila Beach is one of the beaches located in Juodkrante locality and it is exposed to the open sea wind and waves. The spit here is quite broad – around 2 km width. The Baltic Sea beach is exposed mostly to north and west winds (also north-west). The wind has got the frontal character. Winds can be strong for the most of the year with typically summertime being more calm period. The wind conditions here are one of the best on the Lithuanian Baltic coast, bottom is sandy, the water is shallow in the beach neighborhood. All hotspots are good places for kite surfing camps, which typically take place in the Summer. This area is definitely less crowded in the top of the season than Palanga area and the density of surfers is also not high.
