LOCATION
Gdańsk is the biggest polish city on the Baltic coast with over a thousand year old history and marine tradition. It is a capital of Pomorskie Voivodeship and a capital of Kaszubia region. Gdańsk forms with Gdynia and Sopot a metropolitan area called Tricity. It is located on the southern edge of Gdańsk Bay and by the Vistula mouth, GPS 54°38′N 18°65′E.
SCENIC CHARACTER
Gdańsk is located on the region of Żuławy and Kaszubia Lakeland at a picturesque neighborhood of Tricity Landscape Park. Climate of Gdańsk is both oceanic and continental. There are long, pure beaches, cycling routes, Zoo, beautiful and colorful Oliwa Park, Sobieszewo Island and Birds Reserve. Gdańsk is a city with deep history and shipbuilding tradition, modern and fast developing but also charming, mystical and naturalistic.

Gdańsk is a breathtaking, charming and unique city, very interesting and worth seeing all year round, because of its architecture, monuments, history enchanted in buildings, activities, hospitable residents, amazing atmosphere, multi of ways of time spending and above average marine cousine. Tourists can purchase goods that make Gdańsk famous all over the world (ex. Amber).There are many shopping malls and markets. Gdańsk is a capital of Pomorskie Voivodeship, that is a paradise for anglers, because of its water bodies and variety of fish species, which are not to be found in other parts of Poland (ex. roach, grass carp, carp, rudd, bream, crucial carp, silver bream, bleak, pike, catfish, perch, pikeperch etc.). The waters of Vistula mouth is full of trout and salmon. Different ways of fishing are possible: fishing form the bank, sea boat fishing, trolling, sea-spin angling, surf fishing. Deep sea fishing as salmon fishing, cod fishing and herring sea fishing trips are organized in Gdańsk.
