WARNEMÜNDE SURFING HOTSPOT

The surfing hotspot is located east to the river Warnow mouth to the Baltic Sea and north to broad white beach. Nearby is a ferry terminal and every two hours a bow waves are created by ferries what makes a nice waves performance area. The wave spectacle lasts around half an hour allowing for nice surf on the typically flat Baltic Sea. Waves ranges between 0,5-1,5 m of height. The beach is often used by the surfing schools which provide instruction and courses for youth and adults.  In Summer time surfing can be more difficult due to congestion of tourists and real surf area is behind the bathing zone. The audience for surfers’ performances is guaranteed for the most of the time. The beach is mostly populated by youth. In the neighborhood there are plenty of accommodation and culinary places.
