LOCATION
Landskrona ia a picturesque coastal town located in the western part of Skåneand Ven island is a small island located west to Landskrona and requires passing the Øresund strait which splits Denmark and Sweden. The Island is connected with Landskrona by the ferry connection. Landskrona is available by rail or road from Malmö or Copenhagen. Both the town and island Ven are located in the the Swedish region Skåne. Ven Island sightseeing with the use of bikes is one of the best solutions. Ven Island geographical location is: 55°54′N 12°42′E.

BIKING & SIGHTSEEING OF THE VEN ISLAND
The travel starts in Landskrona, the old historical city with citadel, old churches, pleasant downtown, and broad marina. Through the port the tourist can take the ferry to the Ven island. After arrival there is an accessible bike rental place what will allow to move on the island easily. With (typical) yellow bike the tourist can visit all 4 villages located on the island. The most probably the ice cream factory located in Hvens can be the first stop, the next is a picturesque ride towards Ven’s cliffs and passing green areas for football and golf activities. The route back can be towards the Tycho Brahe Museum, famous astronomer of the 16thcentury. The sightseeing place includes: the observatory, gardens, cafés, restaurants and the church. From the observatory there is route down the hill, back to the port. The island is sometimes called the pearl of Øresund and numerous tourists confirm that it is very relaxing.

Region Skåne is a very attractive place in Sweden. It includes different attractions from cultural heritage like old castles, cathedrals, churches, picturesque towns and villages, historical cities, to natural heritage like: green agricultural areas, national parks and nature reserves. The region has got also dense biking routes what allows to learn the culture of nature beauties in the active way. Being very close to Copenhagen the region is rich in small islands with the most famous Island of Ven. Öresund bridge which connects Sweden and Denmark is also a significant landmark.
