LOCATION

Ustka is a town in Pomeranian Voivodeship in the north part of Poland with 16.000 inhabitants. This charming place is a port city, a spa and a resort located on the Słowiński Coast, at the mouth of Słupia River to the Baltic Sea. GPS 54°57′N 16°86′E

SCENIC CHARACTER

Ustka is located close to Słowiński National Park. Its beach is divided by the mouth of Słupia River into two parts: western- appreciated by tourists who look for peace and quiet and eastern part with boulevard, cuisine outlets, bars and a beautiful promenade. Visitors can walk through the unique movable dunes and scent pine trees.

ATTRACTIONS

Tourists can walk at the seaside, enjoy the water sports and bike routes. There are many walking and hiking trails. The port in Ustka was built in XIXth century on the base of breakwaters of XIVth century. Currently it handles mostly fishing boats, yachts and tourists boats. There is a famous lighthouse built in 1892. Its light is visible from a distance of nearly 30 km. The lighthouse is open for visitors in the summertime. The granaries of the red brick are worth seeing. Fishing tours are organized there, catching the cod is almost guaranteed. Ustka operates the largest fish auction in Pomorskie Voivodeship.
