ATTRACTION DESCRIPTION

The Emigration Museum in Gdynia is located in the former building of the Maritime Station in the port of Gdynia. This building is a symbolic place. The Poles emigrated from the Maritime Station by Polish ocean liners. A permanent exhibition is about the history of Polish emigration from the 19thcentury to the present. You can feel what the maritime journey of third class passengers on and below deck looked like. There are many things worth seeing, for example a huge multimedia installation of a globe. The largest model of a passenger ship in the world is created – this is a project “Batory under construction” that can be very interesting especially for young people.
