LOCATION
Kalundborg is the main city in Kalundborg municipality, which is located on the west coast of a Danish island of Zealand. Zealand is well communicated. You can get there by car from any part of Europe. To cross the sea choose a ferry or one of famous Danish bridges. The Danmark is also well known of its bicycle paths, so consider taking a bike, for a short distance trips. 55°40′49.57″N 11°4′51.17″E
1. Kalundborg – Vor Frue Kirke
ATRACTION DESCRIPTION
Church of Our Lady in Kalundborg is one of most interesting sacral buildings in Denmark. It’s not known when it was erected. Red brick suggest that it was after 1170. One of the theories indicates that it was after crusades. The plan of the temple is a Greek Cross. It has five towers. The central one is the highest. It is about 44 meters height. The rest are about 34 meters. Probably they were built because of defensive reasons.
