LOCATION
The museum is based in the northernmost point of the Curonian Lagoon, which belongs to Klaipėda city – Smiltynė. You can reach the museum taking a ferry from Klaipėda (the old ferry is for pedestrians only, the new ferry- for vehicles and buses too). A regular museum bus departs from Klaipėda, but one most often has to come back on foot or tourist train.

ATTRACTIONS
This museum was founded in the fortifications built in the 19thcentury. Not only a marine and animal exhibition can be found, but there is also a possibility to visit the onlydolphinarium in the Baltic states.
Also, there is an operating Dolphin Assisted Therapy Centre, where individual or group sessions of interaction with dolphins are designated for people having physical, mental or situationalissues as well as for people suffering from neurological diseases and/or having experienced psycho-emotional traumas are organised.
