ATTRACTIONS
After joining Klaipėda region to Germany, two coastal artillery batteries were planned: one in Smiltynė, near Kopgalis – “Memel Sud”, and another – “Memel Nord” – near Giruliai, in Kukuliškės village, however, only this latter one was finished.
Nowadays, the artillery battery is made for tourist visits and unique excursions in the underground.
